discover in 6 hours this charming metropolis, see the roman hippodrome, visit the Blue Mosque, marvel Agia Sofia and shop in the Grand Bazaar

This six-hour tour combines fascinating sightseeing in Istanbul. You will start with a stop in the Roman Hippodrome which is a large square used as a social and athletic centre during the Byzantine times. You can now walk the site and see the Snake Column from Delphi and an Egyptian obelisk brought from the Temple of Karnak in Luxor, Egypt.

The tour continues with a visit to an emblematic Islamic temple, the Blue Mosque. The mosque was built during the 17th century AC and the interior high ceiling is covered by blue tiles. It is the only mosque with six minarets which are 64 meters high.

The next stop is Saint Sophia, built by the emperor of the Byzantine Empire as the symbol of Christianity and his power.  It is a unique example of Byzantine architecture and was used as a Cathedral. The interior main dome is 50 meters high and it is covered by hand-painted mosaics.

You wouldn’t leave Istanbul without experiencing the adventure of the Grand Bazaar. The Bazaar is a long and buzzing street market where you can find unique pieces of oriental origin and design. In addition you can shop domestic items made by bronze, Turkish ceramics, hand-made rugs or spices, all exposed in this market for you to choose.
